Privacy Policy

Effective October 4, 2026

PAWS DART — Protecting Animals Without Shelter, Disaster Animal Response Team — operates www.pawsdart.org from Evergreen Park, Illinois. This policy explains information handled through this website.

Information you provide
Our contact forms request your name and email address. You may also provide a message, volunteer interests and availability, and details about a request for pet supplies or support. Information sent by email or telephone is also used to handle your inquiry. Please provide only details needed for your request; do not send payment-card numbers, government identifiers or sensitive medical records through the form.

How we use and share inquiry information
We use your information to respond and coordinate volunteering, rescue-kit sponsorships, donations, educational visits or requested support. We do not sell website inquiry information or automatically add you to marketing lists. Website and email service providers process information needed to deliver these services. Information needed to coordinate your request may be handled by PAWS DART personnel involved in that request. We may disclose information when required by law.

Donations and Square checkout
Online donation buttons take you to Square’s hosted checkout. Square collects and processes the payment and contact information you enter there under its own privacy notices. Payment-card details are entered on Square, rather than in our website contact forms. PAWS DART may receive transaction details, such as the donation amount and donor contact information, for receipts, recordkeeping and donation-related questions. These records may be retained to meet accounting and legal obligations.

It uses a tracking pixel or server logs rather than analytics cookies. The panel states an eight-week retention period. You can control this optional service through Privacy Settings.

Retention and privacy requests
Inquiry correspondence is retained while needed to handle your request and related follow-up, or to meet applicable legal obligations. You may contact us to request access, correction or deletion of information you provided, or to withdraw your contact-form consent. We may need to verify your request and retain records when required by law. Withdrawing consent does not undo processing already completed.
